Corby enjoyed a fantastic day of Latvian music and dance on Sunday 1 May! Well done to the organisers and all the participants!
Hundreds of dancers and singers paraded from the swimming pool through the town centre to Corby Boardwalk in Market Walk, where throughout the afternoon Latvian choirs, dance folk groups and theatre troupes from across the UK performed.
Around the performance area there were stalls selling traditional Latvian food, drinks, flower wreaths and souvenirs. During the day there was a ‘Latvians in Corby’ exhibition in the Rooftop Arts Centre with a series of discussions panels.
