Free and easy IT skills training is now available in Corby town centre, thanks to the familiar name of Tresham College.
Since becoming part of The Bedford College Group, Tresham College has gone from strength to strength, with its modern campus on the outskirts of town attracting more students than ever before.
The Bedford College Group has a successful history of running Learning Centres, which offer beginners basic IT skills training, and allow others to gain employer-recognised qualifications as they improve on their “self-taught” talents.
Jas Khabra is the Lead Trainer (pictured below) and is delighted to be welcoming people to their new home at 40 George Street, which is part of Willow Place.
The Learning Centre was temporarily run at the Tresham College site on Oakley Road, whilst trying to secure a town centre setting.
“We’re now thrilled to be in the heart of the community of Corby where we can help anyone of any age get on the basic IT training ladder. From complete beginners to those who want to upgrade skills for employment or promotion, all are welcome,” said Jas.
“Since the Covid-19 crisis many have had to use technology more than ever before and actually need it to access many services. We are here to help them master the machines in a friendly fashion.”
There is also a Learning centre in Kettering which opened in January 2018.
Both centres are subject to social distancing and other Government regulations. They maintain the highest standards of cleanliness with keyboards and equipment being sanitised between sessions.
